Checkpoint Digital Solutions is looking for a skilled Node.Js Developer to join their German partner's team in Berlin to work on a product used by more than a million customers at over 30 locations in Europe and North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main tasks:

Build the backend

Work with other software engineers in a self-organized Scrum team

Identify and solve real world challenges

Elaborate technical improvements with your team and your Product Owners

Constantly improve our architecture and our continuous Integration practices

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Main requirements


You bring to the company:

Minimum 3 years of experience with backend and web development in Javascript

Deep understanding of node.js and used frameworks like express or hapi in production

Up-to-date skills in Javascript (ES6 or Typescript)

Previous experience in building RESTful APIs and micro-services

Good skills in test-driven and behavior-driven development

Practical knowledge in Docker, Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana (you're a DevOps guy!)

Knowledge of the usual cloud systems like AWS or IBM Softlayer is a plus

Knowledge of Scrum


In addition to these core skills, you also:

Enjoy working in a cross-functional, agile team

Have good English skills (spoken and written)

Are willing to improve yourself, the team and the workflow
